Are you looking to start your own business or are interesting in working in the creative industries? This new initiative may be just thing to help you on your way.
Funded by the Arts Council, Big Ideas Generators will support innovation and enterprise across 10 Greater Manchester library authorities. One team will be working across the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, a first for the city region, offering one-to-one business information surgeries, “How to” sessions, workshops and informal networking opportunities, as well as specialist training in skills such as 3D printing.
The dedicated team will be delivering these sessions at the Central Library from now until the end of March 2018. So far we have had workshops on using Twitter for business, free online tools and cloud computing. We have had an inspirational talk on putting your business ideas into action and there are workshops and talks on crowdfunding, music technology and 3D printing coming up!
